Since she first appeared in the pages of Astonishing X-Men, S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) Agent Abigail Brand is the most interesting green haired woman in the marvel Universe (Sorry Polaris).
Will the arrival of her boyfriend, X-Man Beast, help her out? Not when she discovers Gyrich’s plan for fixing S.W.O.R.D. is to rid Earth of ALL ALIENS! Brought to you by Kieron Gillen (DARK AVENGERS: ARES), Steven Sanders (Five Fists of Science) and topped off with covers by ASTONISHING X-MEN artist JOHN CASSADAY!
Brand is less than pleased about being forced to share her leadership post with former Avengers-liaison and notorious government weasel Henry Peter Gyrich. All this plus Lockheed on a drunken bender?

I’ve been a fan of the Imperial Guard since I first read about them back in the original Dark Phoenix Saga. They fought the X-Men to a standstill with the fate of Jean Grey in the balance, giving them a special place in my memory ever since.
Gladiator is emperor of the Shi’Ar! His squadron, the Imperial Guard, is the ultimate law! But what is it like to live and work in this infamous legion as they attempt to keep their empire from disintegrating into the chaos of civil war.
Just as the Squadron Supreme was a Marvel homage to the Justice League, the Imperial Guard was created as a thinly veiled version of the 70’s Legion of Super Heroes. I’m excited to see what it’s like to be one of Gladiator’s The Imperial Guard during this time of great change in the outer Marvel Universe.

just look at the title and the creative team… nuff said really. I have a feeling that this title will REALLY earn the Max label so if you like your comic book violence with more blood-guts-n-gore and less cartoon anvils, this is for you.
An all-new ongoing series from the acclaimed team of Jason Aaron (WOLVERINE: WEAPON X) and Steve Dillon (PUNISHER: WELCOME BACK FRANK, PREACHER), two guys who were born to tell the exploits of Marvel’s most brutal vigilante. Wilson Fisk is a bodyguard for mob boss Don Rigoletto, but he has his eyes on a much bigger prize, and he’s gonna use Frank Castle to help him realize his dreams.
The biggest story in MAX history begins here, as we witness the birth of the greatest villain the Punisher has ever faced.

I’m so psyched to have Nate Grey back! I can’t wait to see how he fits into this series. Norman Osborn and his Dark X-Men may be biting off a bit more than they can chew if they mean to cross him off any list. Better men have tried. Universes have tried…and failed. I wonder what the cryptic title of the arc means? WHAT Goblin is WHO journeying to the center of???
From the dust of UTOPIA comes DARK X-MEN! Never one to say “die”, Norman Osborn is keeping what’s left of HIS X-Men alive. MYSTIQUE! DARK BEAST! WEAPON OMEGA! MIMIC! They are the public face of mutants in an Osborn world. And what a face they are!
But what does Nate Grey, A.K.A. X-MAN, have to do with it? The critically acclaimed team of PAUL CORNELL (BLACK WIDOW, TV’s Dr. Who) and Leonard Kirk (CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI13) take on the world of X!

Where were you when the Stars returned? Planet Terry! Wally Wizard! Royal Roy! All in this issue. Plus: X-Babies in space and X-Babies versus…The Alpha-Bot!! Punching, Clawing, Blasting, Bamfing, Dancing, Magic and more…ALL in 32 fun-filled pages!
I previously admitted to liking the X-babies. I even kinda enjoyed the first issue. Not don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to see them running around the Marvel U, but every once in awhile they make a nice break. For example… I don’t think I could take an Ambush Bug monthly, but I like to laugh about his exploits every few years.
