UPDATE: In Blackest Night #6, DC has FINALLY given us a look at the real covers for the 8 titles they are resurrecting for a special Blackest Night tie-in… If you haven’t read you Blackest Night #6 don’t look too closely or you might give something away (more on that later wink wink).
This January, the BLACKEST NIGHT mini series skips a month to make room for a very special Blackest night event. Eight classic titles from DC’s past will return from the dead for one month only to celebrate this mega-crossover throughout the DC Universe. Each series will pick up on its original numbering and feature characters from their original runs as they deal with the events currently unfolding in the DC Universe.
You can see the previously final issues of these titles in my original post on the subject.
ATOM AND HAWKMAN #46, Blackest Night, Cancelled, CATWOMAN #83, PHANTOM STRANGER #42, POWER OF SHAZAM #48, QUESTION #37, SUICIDE SQUAD #67, WEIRD WESTERN TALES #71

It looks like the Marvel U has it’s very own Glenn Beck/Bill O’Reilly… As if they didn’t have enough trouble with Norman Osborn at the helm, now they have to listen to THIS fictional asshat?
SIEGE BLOCKBUSTER TIE-IN!! The SIEGE of Asgard has begun! And Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers are leading the charge! Osborn’s savvy use of the media fueled his rise to power – but the very tools he’s been using may turn against him.
It’s time to expose Norman’s true face to the world and uncover the secrets behind the attack on the gods! Witness the changing of the Marvel Universe firsthand!
I can’t wait for next weeks books. I’m eagerly anticipating “The Siege” and the ramifications it will have on the Marvel U. We’ve spent the past year watching Norman Osborn build a precarious house of homicidal cards, and it ought to be collapsing on him anytime now.

Took them long enough to pick up this dangling sub-plot… I think it would have made for a better opening arc than Legion’s return.
What is Illyana Rasputin up to? In NEW MUTANTS #1, she returned from who knows where with knowledge that she says is from the future. A future where things aren’t going well for the X-Men. Emma Frost is not going to settle for this question being unanswered.
