Zimmerman was also the writer of the 2003 miniseries from Marvel’s edgy MAX imprint that outed the Rawhide Kid as a stereotypical homosexual, so we should probably expect more of the same. He mentioned that he shortened the group’s name from Fabulously Magnificent Sensational Seven to the Sensational Seven so maybe he’ll take the entendre’s down a notch, or maybe not. Hopefully he’ll be able to develop the character beyond the caricature he was in the MAX miniseries.
I’m especially excited to see Howard Chaykin is creating the art. He’s been one of my favorite creators since I read his brilliant American Flagg! way back in the 80s. He’s somewhat infamous for doing action oriented comics with plenty of Tits and Ass thrown in. Lets hope we get some Chaykin-drawn beefcake for a change. I long ago tired of his cheesecake.
Violet Tendencies… starring Mindy Cohn – A romantic comedy about Violet, the last of the fag hags who endeavors to leave all her gay friends behind to find a man of her own.

Seeing Heaven… A beautiful young escort Paul suffers from trip like dreams he doesn’t understand, visions which are shared by his clients.

The post Wonder Woman #600 arc “puts Diana, alone, against almost impossible odds in a situation that begins with the destruction of Paradise Island and nearly everything she holds dear. Pursued, hunted, with the events that led to this a mystery, and her future uncertain, Diana must go into the depths of her soul, and the darkest places in the world, to try and rescue the people, and the world, she cares for. Something, or someone, has flipped a switch so that the world she lives in is not the world that was…and she’s the only hope of restoring that world.”
How many times must we destroy and rebuild Themyscira. Been there done that. Not impressed JMS.
I may give it a few issues, but i don’t see this as promising. In other WW news, the art team has been announced as Don Kramer and Michael Babinski.
STAR CITY (The Star Gazette) – Mystery or Miracle? A bright new day has dawned, perhaps the brightest seen in ages. With the world still reeling from news of the return of a number of legendary beloved heroes (and a few villains) after what has been called the “blackest night” of undead super heroes and villains out to slaughter old allies and enemies alike, the shocks are still coming. An instant fully developed, and from the size of some of the trees, apparently an old growth forest has completely enveloped the perfectly star shaped rubble left after the monumental explosion attributed to the super-terrorist known as Prometheus.
How did (and why) Prometheus manage to create such precise and symmetrical destruction? Is this seemingly magical new forest part of his plan? or someone else’s? Is this a miraculous renewal of life in time of sorrow, pain and death, or something far more sinister? No one will know until we find what lurks in the heart of the forest. An exploratory search into the forest is expected, but who should go? Police? Park rangers? The army? Green Arrow? Whether you think the emerald archer is a murderer or not, surely this is a job for him and his cronies in the Justice League?
At this time it is not know if anyone was within the ground zero area, but there may have been any number of looters, rescue workers still searching the rubble and city teams surveying the damage. Aerial surveillance units have reported a strange bright white light deep in the forest.

I liked last nights episode of GLEE but it wasn’t half as brilliant as this little gem which followed it. I think it was because there wasn’t enough Kurt. I’ve heard he’s getting a boyfriend and they’ll be a “power couple” at the school, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I’m going to make Popapathy watch it after Modern Family and Cougar Town, but none of the songs REALLY stood out last night.
BRIGHTEST DAY continues, but in ways we can’t possibly expect! What does BRIGHTEST DAY mean to the DC Universe? Is everything from here on out going to be bright and shiny? No, BRIGHTEST DAY means something else entirely, something they can’t tell us…yet.
But they can tell us our heroes will need to rise up more than ever to combat the forces of evil, and a select few will uncover a secret that binds them ALL.
So Deadman really is IS Lifeman now… in powers if not in name… any suggestions for a new sobriquet for Boston Brand ? Lazarus? Lifegiver? or is just THE White Lantern (he was the only resurectee with a ring) good enough? So if he can bring back the dead… does that mean the door is still open for other dead heroes (whose corpses weren’t just destroyed in Blackest Night)?
Sorry I’ve been so absent this week. I’ve been TOTALLY sucked into the fantastic world of Ferelden. LOVING Dragon Age Origins!!!!!! Hoping to finish tonight – I’m nearing “The Final Onslaught!” I have a tendency to play games like a virtual crack fiend. I should be done soon and then all will return to normal – at least until I break down and get the expansion.
Anyway as a reward for putting up with the lack of new material this week here is a collection of clips on Justin and Austin from the last few episodes of Ugly Betty. I expect YouTube to take down soon so watch em when you can. I understand the networks protecting their property – but they should distribute these clips themselves. Publicity is publicity. Anyway – enjoy these. I’ve posted the kiss clip before, but here’s the whole story…
It makes me so happy to think of gay teens seeing this on network TV. I have to admit watching these make me cry like a little girl. Its just so sweet. I WANT ANOTHER SEASON DAMMIT!!!!!
